What is an end-of-life doula?
1
An End-of-Life Doula, also known as a Death Doula or Soul Midwife, provides non-medical support to individuals and families navigating serious illness, dying, and grief. Doulas offer emotional, practical, and companionship-based support while helping create a sense of comfort, dignity, and peace throughout the end-of-life journey.
How are you different from hospice?
2
Hospice and End-of-Life Doulas often work together, but they serve different roles.
Hospice provides medical care through a team of nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides who focus on comfort, symptom management, and clinical support.
As an End-of-Life Doula, I provide non-medical support that may include companionship visits, legacy projects, vigil support, emotional support, caregiver respite, and guidance through difficult conversations.
While hospice focuses on medical care, I focus on the personal, emotional, and human experience of end-of-life care.

How much are your services?
My journey to end-of-life care began with personal experiences of love, loss, and caregiving. After losing my father as a child and later being present for several loved ones during their final days, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of compassionate presence and support during life's most difficult transitions.
Combined with my background in Child Development, hospice volunteer experience, and desire to serve others, becoming a Certified End-of-Life Doula felt like a natural calling.
It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families during this sacred chapter of life, helping ensure that no one has to face death, dying, or grief alone.
My services are non-denominational and inclusive of all faiths, spiritual beliefs, cultural traditions, and personal values. My role is not to impose beliefs, but to honor and support what is meaningful to each individual and family.
At this time, Forget-Me-Not End-of-Life Care is a mission-based service, and all support is provided at no cost to individuals and families.
My goal is to ensure that compassionate end-of-life support is accessible to those who need it, regardless of financial circumstances. Services are offered as my way of giving back to the community and supporting individuals and families during one of life's most important transitions.
